Stephen is a qualified Chartered Accountant who has over 20 years experience in acquiring UK mid-market companies as both an adviser and principal investor. 

Prior to co-founding NWPEP, Stephen co-founded the corporate finance advisory boutique New World Corporate Finance. Prior to that he worked at BNP Paribas, PWC and Deloitte &Touche. 

Stephen’s experience includes management buy-outs and buy-ins, company sales, acquisitions, development capital fund raising and public-to-private takeovers.

Most recently in 2018 Stephen completed a working capital investment round into David Lloyd Adventure Parks and in 2019 completed the sale of Metail to TAL and Likely to the management team.

Nigel spent the first 4 years of his career working in the City where he qualified and worked as a corporate solicitor advising companies on M&A transactions and private equity firms on investments. He subsequently read for a Masters in Finance degree at London Business School in 1997 before joining the UK corporate finance team at BNP Paribas. 

In March 2000 Nigel co-founded New World Corporate Finance where he has advised on over 20 transactions. 

Nigel has significant experience helping companies grow as well as acquiring and selling UK mid-market companies. He acts as a consultant too and sits on the board of a number of companies and has led a number of growth capital investments.

Max Weil

Investment Manager

Max qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse Coopers.  Before joining he worked at Nord Engine Capital and Dynamic Bridge Capital where he worked on originating, managing and executing private equity investments into growth stage companies.  He also has experience in advisory work that has ranged from small private fundraises to IPO advice.
